As we all know, there’s more to life then just working out. Here at Foxboro Fit Club we are also into helping people reach their goals. Lets take it one step further and help the many dogs that need a home. Save our Soul Animal Rescue is one of those groups that works day in and day out to get good homes for dogs looking to be loved. Anyone who mentions the Foxboro Fit Club and adopts a dog in August will be placed into a drawing to win the Power 90 Workout Program!
Below is a note from the co-founder Heidi Durand-Lenz. Please take a moment to read:
As you know, I have spent a lot of my free time these last several years volunteering in animal rescue with Friends of Homeless Animals, a Boston Terrier based rescue group. Pedro was, and always will be, my inspiration for helping animals that are so much less fortunate than he ever was. I can’t believe how fast time goes by.
It was only 4 short years ago that I was completely ignorant to the plight of abandoned and homeless animals in this country and to the sheer volume of adoptable animals that are killed for space each day in US shelters. Since that time, I have had over 20 dogs pass thru my home as fosters (we even kept one!). I have participated in adoption events and initiatives that have found homes for 100’s of animals. It has been so rewarding.
I am so excited to announce Save One Soul Animal Rescue League. SOS is a small rescue with big hopes! I hope I have your support as we embark on this new journey
As I’ve worked with so many dedicated people, I’ve realized that the way we can make a greater impact on the crisis of animal overpopulation in this country is to take risks. We have to try new things, educate, build awareness, and help people keep their animals in their homes when in crisis. And when someone is ready to add a pet to their home, its important to connect the right animal to the right family – regardless of geography. So, for me, it is now time for a change.
Maybe you can volunteer with my new group, maybe even foster!!! If timing is not right for either of those, I simply ask that you visit our new website and see what we are all about. LIKE and SHARE our Facebook page and Follow us on Twitter or Pin us in PINTEREST.
And if and when you are ever ready to adopt a dog, or get involved on any level, please let me know me because I would be more than happy to have you on my team!!! If my adventures these past few years can inspire even one person to get involved and do one thing to help, even if it is something as small as a Facebook LIKE and SHARE, then we are one step closer to a No Kill nation.
Wish us luck as we set out to make a difference……….
