We stayed a bit outside the city but it was a quick ride in. As Sat moved along so did we. We went from bar to bar and checking out the Super Bowl Village. By late afternoon we had found a home at one of the best tables in the Omni Hotel Lounge. While we were there, we saw Jessica Simpson, Shaq, Danny Devito, Maroon5 LMFAO and met a Colts Cheerleader – Lindsey F and her family.
We were happy to be inside on Saturday due to the rain and showers but Sunday brought the Sun.
We hit the Capital Grille for a great lunch with some great wine then walked around the village and entered the stadium grounds a few hours before kickoff. It was the right move. We were able to walk right through security and into the stadium without any long lines.
The statium is huge and I’m sure the game looked like ants from those seats in the 600’s. We were in the 100’s corner endzone on patriots side. Great seats with a screen in front and behind us.
Each seat had some goodies and the place was lined with Indy cars etc. You’d never know the colts played there.
I thought Madonna’s half time show was good. I loved how the crowd had our little lights – nice touch.
We left the second it ended and never looked back to see the Giants accept their prize. It sucked but it is what it is. The Giants were better and the deserved to win. So, Congrat Giants fans and to Pats Fans, I say this – Pitchers and Catchers report in a week or two!
BTW – I tried to eat good but it was super bowl weekend! Back in the swing today though.
