Season 12’s new trainer shares 3 tips for weight loss
Tennis star Anna Kournikova, who joins Season 12 (starting September 20) as a trainer, can’t wait to motivate her contestants.
“Being a professional athlete almost my whole life, I’ve learned everything there is to know about commitment, strength, discipline, and sacrifice,” she says. “You don’t get to be a top 10 tennis player without those. I’m ready to share all my knowledge with the contestants and, hopefully, change their lives.”
Anna shares three tips to help you get your weight loss journey going right now:
1. Make Small Changes
The first step is to just get started, both with physical activity and trying to eat healthier. It’s also important for everyone to not look too much at the big picture. Set small daily goals that you can accomplish and be proud of yourself!
2. Carry Healthy Snacks
I always carry a baggie filled with something healthy to eat, like sliced turkey wrapped around any kind of veggie. I’m a fruit and veggie freak!
3. Have Treats in Moderation
My philosophy is that you can have treats, just eat them moderation. The more I forbid myself—”Oh, I can’t have cookies or carbs or chocolate”—the more I want it. I’d rather have a small piece of chocolate than fantasize about it for 2 days and end up eating the whole bar!
